Roger Doll, the Fort Morgan Police Department’s Community Resource Officer, recently earned a prestigious certification as a Level I National Crime Prevention Specialist.
Doll earned the designation from the National Crime Prevention Association, a national organization headquartered in Maryland. The certification takes into consideration an individual’s experience, training and other factors.
Chief of Public Safety Paul Schultz said Doll’s achievement is a credit to the Fort Morgan Police Department.
“As a police department and as a community we are fortunate to have someone of Officer Doll’s level of expertise working in our police department and specifically on crime prevention programs,” Schultz said. “His efforts contribute greatly to our low crime rate.”
Heather Anderson, programs director for the National Crime Prevention Council, notified Doll of the certification in mid-November.
“Your community and police department are lucky to have you,” Anderson wrote. “We are excited to hear about the great things you have done, and will continue to do, as you strive to make your community safer through prevention.”
