Morgan County is primarily a rural entity located on the high plains of northeastern Colorado. Stretching 36 miles long and 36 miles wide, the County encompasses 1,296 square miles. The County seat, Fort Morgan, is located in the approximate center of the County at an elevation of 4,330 feet above sea level.
Interstate 76 and U.S. Highway 34 allow Morgan County to be well-situated and connected to other parts of the state. We are only 80 miles from Metro Denver, and within a 60-minute drive of Denver International Airport.
