The Support Services Division is responsible for providing auxiliary, technical, and special services to help expedite the accomplishment of the police mission.
This division includes: Records, Investigations, Evidence Control, Community Service, and Supply and Maintenance.
The Records Division is staffed by two full-time police clerks. They are charged with the tasks of typing, logging, maintenance, and safekeeping of reports and records generated by the department.
Investigations consists of one Detective Sergeant, three Detectives, and one School Resource Officer. This section is responsible for investigations and follow-up on cases assigned to them.
The School Resource Officer works in close partnership with Morgan County School District Re-3 to work with students at Fort Morgan Middle School, Fort Morgan High School and Lincoln High School to maintain a proactive approach of education, intervention, and enforcement within the school community.
Evidence Control: Evidence custodians are responsible for the logging, securing, and verification of evidence brought in by officers.
The Community Service Division is comprised of the Community Resource Specialist and two Code Enforcement Officers. This division promotes the community policing philosophy and works in partnership with the community, taking a proactive approach of code enforcement, education and intervention to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
The Code Enforcement Officers are responsible for assuring compliance and the enforcement of the ordinances and statutes pertaining to Animal Control, Weed Removal, Snow Removal, Watering Regulations, and various other ordinances.
The Supply and Maintenance Division is responsible for the requisition, storage, repairs, and allocation of supplies and materials needed for the daily operations of the department.
