The staff of the Wastewater Treatment Plant consists of one plant superintendent, one pre-treatment coordinator, three operators, and one lab technician.

  • .09 to 1 million gallons per day (mgd)

Design Capacity
  • 2.25 million gallons per day
  • 4,320 lbs. Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) per day
  • Extended air-activated sludge

Processes and Equipment
  • Automatic Parkson bar screen
  • Aerated grit chamber with cyclone grit removal
  • Two extended air-aeration basins, 994,000 gallons each with fine bubble aeration
  • Air supply - five Lamson centrifugal blowers
  • Two 60' diameter clarifiers with flocculators
  • Ultraviolet disinfection, vertical system
  • Aerobic digestion - two digesters with fine bubble aeration, 465,000 gallons each
  • Digester air supplied by two roost dresser positive displacement blowers
  • Alfa Laval Sharples centrifuge for sludge thickening, sludge land applied
  • Ultrasonic flow meters on influent and effluent flow
