2010 Rainbow Bridge Project
Mayor McAlister Cuts the Ribbon at the Ceremony on June 26, 2010
Construction on the south side of the Rainbow Arch Bridge in Riverside Park, off State Highway 52, is now complete and open to pedestrian traffic. The $350,000 Project (funded in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) received from the Federal government) resulted in an enhanced plaza-like area, incorporating a brick paved plaza and enhanced landscape. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark completion of the project was held on June 26, 2010.
