Services provided include:

• Construction plan reviews for residential, commercial, and miscellaneous construction
• Building permits
• Building construction inspections
• Coordination with the fire marshal operations

The Building Official and Building Inspector review all construction plans to ensure compliance with the 2003 International Building Codes, 2003 International Fire Code, 2002 National Electric Code, and local Codes and Ordinances.

By City Code, Use Tax must be paid through the Building Department as part of the building permit process for the use of construction and building materials not purchased locally. If products are purchased locally, the contractor must show proof of the local purchase to the Building Department when completing the Building Permit Application.
