[ARCHIVED] Police Investigate Second Robbery

Police are investigating an overnight armed robbery that occurred at North Main Conoco in Fort Morgan on Monday (5/17) evening at approximately 11:00p.m.

Fort Morgan Police are investigating another armed robbery that occurred at about 11:00p.m. Monday night. The robbery was reported by an employee from North Main Conoco located at 1300 North main Street. The employee reported the man came into the business and walked to the bathroom.

The employee was grabbed from behind and the male suspect displayed a knife. After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the suspect ran from the store southbound.

the suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a knit cap, dark jacket with a hood and blue jeans. The suspect used one of his hands to diguise his face during the incident.

The employee was not injured during the robbery. Dispite the immediate arrival of officers, the suspect was not located. This is the second armed robbery in the same general area within a week with similar characteristics.
