[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Robbery under Investigation

Fort Morgan Police are investigating a serious crime that occurred in the early morning hours of August 22nd at a home in the 200 block of Deuel Street.

Fort Morgan Police are investigating a serious crime that occurred in the early morning hours of August 22nd at a home in the 200 block of Deuel Street.

Officers were called to the residence on the report of an assault and theft that had just occurred. Three victims in the home described two Hispanic males who entered the home through a back window while the occupants were in the front room.

The two thieves, dressed in dark clothing and covering their faces with bandanas, confronted the people in the home. One of the criminals hit one of occupants with a glass item causing large lacerations to the victim’s head.

There was a brief struggle between the occupants and the crooks. The robbers then took a couple of bags and left through the front door of the home. The stolen bags contained cash and, what was described as; medicinal marijuana with a total value of $1,865 dollars. Additional items were damaged during the incident including a cell phone with a total value of $320 dollars. The victim with the lacerations was treated at the hospital and released. Detectives were called to assist with the investigation, which remains open.
