Winter Reading Kicks Off Monday, Jan. 28, at Library

The Fort Morgan Public Library’s Adult and Youth Winter Reading programs begin Monday, Jan. 28, and run through Feb. 28.

Both adults and youths can earn prizes for pages read and time spent reading. For both programs, simply go to the library circulation desk and ask for a reading log.

For adult readers, every 500 pages read allows participants to draw a prize from the Library Lovers gift bag. First- and second-place winners for the most pages read will also receive Visa gift cards in the amount of $75 for first place and $50 for second place.

Prizes will be awarded in three categories for the Youth Winter Reading program:

--Elementary Readers – For every three hours of reading time, patrons will be entered into a prize drawing for the Little Literary Gift Basket.

--Middle School Readers – For every six hours of reading time, patrons will be entered into a prize drawing for the Seekers of Wisdom Gift Basket.

--High School Readers – For every eight hours of reading time, patrons will be entered into a prize drawing for the Champion of Words Gift Basket.

For all readers of each category, the participant who reads the most hours wins a $50 Visa gift card. Any reading completed for school or in school may be counted.
