Trespassing and Vandalism

Fort Morgan Officers are investigating a trespass and vandalism that resulted in approximately $400 dollars in damage to property.

On September 5th police were called to the 1200 block of East Burlington Avenue on the report of storage trailer that had been broken into. Inside the trailer were various household items including furniture and glassware.

The trailer had last been checked on several weeks ago and since that time someone had broken into the trailer, broken many of the glass and porcelain items and damaged a couch and chairs. It appeared the intruders had spent some time in the trailer, arranging furniture and burning candles.

The victim indicated the lock had been broken off of the trailer and damage to the items inside totaled approximately $400 dollars.

Police are looking for those responsible for breaking into the trailer and causing the damage to the personal items and the case remains open.

Anyone with information on this or other crimes is asked to call the Fort Morgan Police Department at (970) 867-5678. If a person with information wishes to remain anonymous they can call Crime Stoppers at (970) 542-3411 and may be eligible for a cash reward or submit your tip online.
