A new series of summer events will continue every Thursday evening into August as Thursday Night Live! Downtown Fort Morgan comes to Main Street.
Thursday Night Live! is an expansion of the city’s popular and longstanding Summer Concert Series in City Park that will now encompass Main Street with live music, food, arts & crafts, kids’ activities and much more.
Organized and sponsored by the City of Fort Morgan in partnership with local community organizations, this is a free event that will be held every Thursday evening until August. Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Railroad Avenue to Bijou Avenue, making it a pedestrian plaza with attractions in every block.
More than 30 vendors have signed up to take part, including food vendors, arts & crafts sellers, children’s activities and informational booths. A petting zoo, bouncy house and other fun things for kids will help make this a place for the whole family to spend a few hours and enjoy dinner from one the food vendors.
Thursday Night Live! will run from 5 to 8 p.m. each Thursday from June 6 through Aug. 8, with the exception of July 4. Closure of Main Street is planned to begin around 4 p.m. on each event day and the street is expected to be reopened to traffic by about 9 p.m.
Music will start at 5 p.m. with a DJ in the city’s Showmobile on Main Street, and the concert at the Dahms-Talton Band Shell will follow from 6:30 to 8. So nonstop music will also be on the Thursday Night Live! menu.
