Fort Morgan Police are investigating a vehicle vandalism that required a costly fix.
On October 20th, police took a vandalism report from a resident that lives in the 1100 block of Linda Street. Before calling police, the vehicle owner had found their vehicle with a flat tire.
The vehicle was undamaged the previous day and was parked in a parking lot overnight. At the time they did not suspect anything unusual, believing they may have simply run over a nail.
The tire was removed from the vehicle and took it in for a repair. It was not until the store employee discovered that the tire had been cut or punctured, possibly with a knife, that the owner realized their vehicle had been intentionally damaged.
The tire was unable to be repaired and the replacement cost for the owner was $85 dollars.
