The Fort Morgan Recreation Department will be hosting 12 different summer day camps for kids 8 to 12 years old starting June 23.
The twice-weekly sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m. from June 23 through July 30 at Riverside Park. Each session will have a different activity, and parents can sign kids up for as many different sessions as they want.
The camps include skill camps for sports such as baseball, basketball and volleyball, as well as camps for team challenges, a nature walk and even a day of kickball.
The cost is $10 per session and you can register at the Armory or online.
Kids need to wear appropriate clothes and shoes based on the activities scheduled for that camp. All equipment will be provided by the Rec Department, but bringing your own is also encouraged. Spots are limited to 20 campers a session due to social distancing guidelines so it is a first come first serve basis.
The City of Fort Morgan Recreation Department will host the event and will adhere to social distancing, disinfecting and sanitizing protocols to help keep everyone healthy and safe.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Recreation Center at (970) 542-3921.
