The Fort Morgan Public Library hosts free legal clinics each month for people who have no attorney or legal representation.
The clinics are held via computer link on the second Monday of every month at the library, excluding holidays. Appointments are available from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The next clinic is on July 13.
The clinics are for parties who have no attorney, and they can meet with volunteer attorneys one-on-one by computer. Attorneys can answer questions, help fill out forms, and explain the process and procedure for civil legal issues including family law, civil litigation, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, veteran’s benefits, and civil protection orders.
The volunteer attorneys do not represent you just because they help you at this clinic. This clinic is for information only, and is no substitute for legal representation. You have the right to retain an attorney of your choice at any time, and are advised to do so.
To schedule an appointment, call the Fort Morgan Public Library at (970) 542-4003. Please leave a clear message along with your phone number, and make sure your phone message mailbox is not full for a return message.
