The City of Fort Morgan is actively seeking city residents to fill two current vacancies on the city’s Planning Commission.
The new members appointed would fill the remainder of existing terms that will expire in April 2021. The new members could then apply for reappointment to full six-year terms.
The Planning Commission is currently very active in the process of development in the City of Fort Morgan, including the new fieldhouse project, a proposed housing development and other proposals. The commission has authority to review new developments, subdivisions, special use permits and other matters related to land use and development.
Planning Commission members serve six-year terms and must be residents of the city. Two vacancies also exist on the city’s Library Advisory Board for three-year terms.
Anyone interested in the Planning Commission seat or any other advisory board vacancies can pick up an application at Historic City Hall, 110 Main St., or find the application on the city’s website at http://www.cityoffortmorgan.com/DocumentCenter/Home/View/112.
