The Fort Morgan Library & Museum is reprising a popular challenge for patrons to create their own art from the contents of a “Mystery Bag” and submit photos of it for display in a Patron Art Showcase in the library.
The challenge asks patrons to use all of the items provided in “Mystery Bag #2,” as well as one item the artist provides, to craft a unique work of art. Patrons will then take a photo of their creation and submit that for the contest. Only photos will be accepted, not the original artwork, and they must be no larger than 8-1/2” x 11”.
Only one entry per person and all ages are welcome. Other rules allow the use of tape, glue, crayons and paint, and those rules will be provided with the craft bags. All bags contain the same items and you must use them all, plus one item of your choice.
Participants can pick up their mystery craft bags starting Monday, Dec. 28, through Saturday, Jan. 23. Entries are due by Jan. 23. Each person submitting an entry will be placed in a drawing for a $25 gift card when they turn in their photos.
Photos can be brought to the library circulation desk or e-mailed to email@example.com. For more information, call the library at (970) 542-4000.
