Vandals caused nearly $2,000 worth of damage to a vehicle last Monday while it was parked on the street in the 500 block of Cherry Street in Fort Morgan.
Police responded to a call on the morning of January 17 on the report of vandalism to a truck. When the officer arrived, they found a ’90s model truck had three flat tires and two taillight covers were shattered.
The victim determined the damage had occurred sometime between the hours of 10:45 p.m. the previous evening and 6:45 a.m. that morning when the damage was discovered.
The victim estimated the damage to the large, all-terrain tires to be around $1,500 and valued the taillight covers at $400, totaling $1,900 in damage.
There are no suspects in the case at this time. However, anyone with information about this or any other crime is asked to call the Fort Morgan Police Department at (970) 867-5678.
