The works of a local artist acclaimed for his watercolor paintings of birds are featured in the new Lower Gallery Exhibit at the Fort Morgan Museum.
Artist C. Howard Rollin (1909-1983) grew up on his family’s homestead in Wildcat Canyon near Weldona. He lived in Morgan County for 70 years, starting in 1912.
The current exhibit, “C. Howard Rollin – Master Artist of the Bird Kingdom,” opened Sept. 11 and will be on display through Dec. 31.
The Community Room at the Fort Morgan Library & Museum was named for Rollin several years ago. A selection of his works from the museum’s archives will be displayed. In addition, Rollin’s library and other items from his studio will be featured.
