Resignation Opens Vacancy on City Planning Commission

The recent resignation of a member of the Fort Morgan Planning Commission has opened up the opportunity for city residents to apply for appointment to this board.

The remaining term of the exiting member extends to April 1, 2026.

The seven-member Planning Commission is involved in a variety of issues related to community growth and development, including property annexations, subdivisions, special use reviews, and building code and land use variances. Members are appointed to six-year terms by the Fort Morgan City Council, and must be residents of the city.

The Planning Commission generally meets once or twice a month, on Monday afternoons, depending on the number of matters it is called upon to review.
