Vacancy on City Planning Commission Remains Unfilled

A vacancy on the Fort Morgan Planning Commission created by a member’s resignation remains unfilled and the city is seeking applicants for the seat from city residents.

The remaining term of the former member extends to April 1, 2026.


The seven-member Planning Commission is involved in a variety of issues related to community growth and development, including property annexations, subdivisions, special use reviews, and building code and land use variances. Members are appointed to six-year terms by the Fort Morgan City Council, and must be residents of the city.


The Planning Commission generally meets once or twice a month, on Monday afternoons, depending on the number of matters it is called upon to review.
