Weapons Stolen
A Public Service Announcement

Fort Morgan Police are investigating a theft of weapons that was reported to officers on March 15th. Officials responded to the 500 block of Prospect Street and were told that two handguns had been stolen sometime within the last three weeks.

The victims were uncertain if the guns had been taken from their residence or from a vehicle that they may have been transported in. Both of the missing firearms are Jiminez Arms brand. One of them is a .22-caliber, the other one is a 9-millimeter.

Both guns were purchased at local businesses and the owners are obtaining serial numbers that will be added to a database of stolen firearms. The weapons’ total value was listed at $510.

Police are investigating the theft as a possible burglary and are asking anyone with information to call law enforcement at (970) 867-5678.
