Fort Morgan Store Robbed, Handgun Used.
The Fort Morgan Police have arrested four local people in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the city on Friday night.
The robbery was reported at approximately 9:10 pm Friday, April 22, at 406 East Railroad Avenue in Fort Morgan. The business name is African Grocery.
The victim in the case reported that one person had come into the store, approaching him and brandishing a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with the money after the robbery.
The Fort Morgan Police were assisted by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office and police detectives, who later served several search warrants at several locations near Fort Morgan.
Arrested in connection with the armed robbery were Alexis Jo Barton, 19, of Fort Morgan, Brittany Shea Shurden, 21, of Fort Morgan; Joshua Neal Shurden, 19, of Fort Morgan; and Dalton Todd Roseberry, 19, of Wiggins.
All four suspects were booked and detained at the Morgan County Detention Center on charges of aggravated armed robbery and felony menacing.
An advisement hearing in Morgan County District Court is scheduled to occur at 1:30 pm on Monday, April 25, 2011.
