Fort Morgan Police are looking for a doghouse that was stolen during a six-hour period after it was last seen.
On August 2, police were called to the 800 block of Main Street to take a theft report. When the officer arrived she spoke to the victims, who said their pet’s shelter had been in the backyard at noon and at approximately 6 p.m. they discovered it missing.
The doghouse was home-made and built from 2x4’s and plywood, and was unusually sturdy. It was painted gray and had brown asphalt shingles on the roof. The front of the doghouse had a stained wooden plaque with the name “Chelsea.”
Due to the size and amount of materials used, the owner valued the doghouse at $900.
Police are asking anyone with information about this, or any other case, to call the Fort Morgan Police Department at (970) 867-5678.
