Police are investigating two vehicle break-ins that occurred in the Southwest part of Fort Morgan and were discovered in the early morning of January 22nd.

Police are investigating two vehicle break-ins that occurred in the Southwest part of Fort Morgan and were discovered in the early morning of January 22nd.

Police were first called to the 300 block of Cheyenne Street on the report of a vehicle that had the driver’s side window broken. Certificates, documents and other items totaling approximately $3,100 were reported stolen from the vehicle. Damage to the window was $300 dollars.

Shortly thereafter, police were called to another theft from a vehicle in the 700 block of Ute Street. Items, including numerous dance shoes and clothing totaling $635 dollars were taken from a car. Force was not used to enter the vehicle.

Police are investigating both thefts and suspect they may be connected, due to the proximity of the break-ins.
