Citizens with low vision are encouraged to attend a presentation at the Fort Morgan Senior Center that could help improve their quality of life.
The visual rehabilitation program of Ensight Skills Center Inc. would benefit people with vision loss due to degenerative eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts. These vision problems can cause difficulty with activities of daily living such as reading, cooking, personal care and seeing faces.
Representatives of Ensight Skills Center will be at the senior center on Monday, March 3, from 1 to 2 p.m. The program is being offered in cooperation with Colorado Lions Clubs.
Ensight Skills Center volunteer coordinator Penn Street will be available to discuss visual rehabilitation services. These services can optimize the use of remaining vision through training and using adaptive aids, after corrective vision options such as eyeglasses and surgery have been exhausted.
