[ARCHIVED] Free Trip for Seniors to 101st Army Band Performance

Seniors age 55 and over can sign up now for a free trip to a performance by the 101st Army Band on Nov. 9 in Greeley.

The trip to the show at the Union Colony Civic Center is sponsored by the Fort Morgan Recreation Department. The deadline for registration is Nov. 3, and seating is limited so early reservations are strongly encouraged.

The 101st Army Band’s concert ensemble will perform its Salute to Veterans with classical music and marches. The 40 citizen-soldiers perform together part time while maintaining their duties as soldiers, living and working in their communities.

The Nov. 9 trip will depart from the Fort Morgan Senior Center at 11:00 a.m., and is expected to return to Fort Morgan between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Participants’ meals are on their own.

Seniors can sign up at the Senior Center at 110 Sherman St. or the Recreation Center at 528 State St. For more information call (970) 542-3921 or visit the city’s website at www.cityoffortmorgan.com/recreation.
