Dec. 10 Brown Bag is Musical Version

The Fort Morgan Public Library & Museum will offer a musical version of its Brown Bag lunch and program on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The December program will feature Nicholas Booker presenting “The Great American Songbook.” The event begins at noon in the Howard Rollin Memorial Community Room, and attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy.

Holiday Brown Bag: The History of Santa Claus

December’s Brown Bag luncheon at the Fort Morgan Library/Museum will be a very special presentation on The History of Santa Claus.

'Night at the Museum' is Family Movie Night Feature

“Night at the Museum” will be the featured film when the Fort Morgan Library and Museum hosts Family Movie Night in the lower gallery Tuesday, Dec.17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

There will be hot chocolate, marshmallows, popcorn and even a small craft for all who attend. Make sure to bring your jammies, pillows, blankets and whatever else you need to stay warm and cozy during the movie.

Kris Kringle Cookie Exchange Dec. 19 at Senior Center

The popular annual Kris Kringle Cookie Exchange is set for Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Fort Morgan Senior Center (110 Sherman Street).

Several vacancies will occur on Fort Morgan city advisory boards and commissions as the terms of some current members expire at the end of 2019 and others leave for higher office.

This presents an opportunity for residents to get involved in issues and areas of interest to them and play a role in how the city deals with these issues in coming years.

Muni Court Hours Shortened for Holiday, Early December

The hours of operation for the Fort Morgan Municipal Court will be abbreviated through early December due to the Thanksgiving holiday as well as staff transition.

The municipal court will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

During the following week (the first week of December), court hours will be as follows:

Monday, Dec. 2, 2019: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
