Trash Pickup Limited During Thanksgiving Week

Most City of Fort Morgan offices and departments will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, and on Friday, Nov. 27. As a result, the Sanitation Department will only be picking up residential trash once during the Thanksgiving week.

Any trash accumulated during those days will be picked up the following week.

City to Close Some Facilities, Implement New Restrictions

The City of Fort Morgan is taking action Friday, Nov. 20, to close several city facilities and implement new restrictions in response to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and the state’s designation of Morgan County to the “Red - Severe Risk” level.

As of Friday morning, City Hall, the Fort Morgan Museum and the Cemetery office will be closed to the public. The Armory Recreation Center and the Gene Doty Senior Center are already closed and will remain so. The Fort Morgan Public Library will stay open...

City Adjusting Operations Due to COVID Restrictions

The City of Fort Morgan will make some adjustments to its operations in light of the recent announcement that the state health department has moved Morgan County to a more restrictive level of COVID-19 response.

Police Warn of Phone Scam Claiming Stolen Identity

The Fort Morgan Police Department has been made aware of a telephone scam regarding claims of stolen identity in the Fort Morgan area.

Citizens are receiving phone calls that may appear to be coming from a City of Fort Morgan phone number, informing them that their identity has been stolen and then asking them to press Option 1.

Armory Punch Cards Won't Transfer to Fieldhouse

In anticipation of the completion of the city’s new Recreation Fieldhouse, users of the current Armory Recreation Center are advised to finish off their punch cards before the new rec facility opens.

Armory punch cards are only valid at the Armory (528 State St.), according to the city Recreation Department. Remaining punches on Armory cards will not be transferable to the new Fieldhouse.
