Obtaining a Police Report
To obtain a copy of a police report, complete the On Line Records Request Form or complete the printable version of the Records Request Form. The fees, payable by cash, credit card, check or money order must be received by the Fort Morgan Police Department prior to the release of the record. If there are further costs, such as additional pages, redaction, or extensive searches, you will be notified of the additional cost. A records technician will contact the requester to let them know the cost of the report.
Requests are normally processed within three business days from the time of receipt provided the report is completed and approved. Some reports may be delayed due to ongoing investigations or state statute. Most juvenile records may not be released.
The Fort Morgan Police Department abides by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, to include all applicable Colorado Revised Statutes and Fort Morgan Police Department policies when releasing criminal justice records.
