New Library Art Challenges Focus on Valentines

The Fort Morgan Library and Museum’s latest Patron Art Challenge will ask adults and children alike to create Valentines using kits they can pick up for free.

The Make-Your-Own Valentine kits will be available starting Jan. 25.

New Art Exhibit on Display at Museum

“Images of the American West” by the High Plains Artists is the new exhibit now on display in the Fort Morgan Museum’s lower gallery.

This exhibition features a collection of images by local artists Theresa Conklin, Thelma Downing, Pat Samples Ehrlich, Sue Hodgson, Karol Mack, Jenny Robinson and Kathy Wernsman.

 “Images of the American West” will be on display through Feb. 27.

Library/Museum Has New (Old) Patron Art Challenge

The Fort Morgan Library & Museum is reprising a popular challenge for patrons to create their own art from the contents of a “Mystery Bag” and submit photos of it for display in a Patron Art Showcase in the library.

The challenge asks patrons to use all of the items provided in “Mystery Bag #2,” as well as one item the artist provides, to craft a unique work of art. Patrons will then take a photo of their creation and submit that for the contest. Only photos will be ...
