  • The current capacity of the Fort Morgan plant is 10 million gallons per day. The average for the year 2015 was 4.2 million gallons per day. The peak daily demand seen in 2015 was 7.2 million gallons and the lowest daily was 1.8 million gallons.

The Water Treatment Plant was awarded the 2012 Water Fluoridation Quality Award from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the 2012 Award for Excellence from the State of Colorado for providing optimally fluoridated water to the community.

  • All surface water and well water systems under the influence of surface water are required to be chlorinated. The Fort Morgan Plant adds a small amount of chlorine to disinfect the water and to maintain protection as the water travels throughout the distribution system.
